In most Aquariums, the biological cycle is started by introducing fish into the Aquarium. The fish excrete Ammonia, which acts as a food source for nitrifying bacteria. Nitrifying bacteria convert Ammonia into Nitrite and then Nitrite into nitrate. Ready to use Aquaetic Ammonium Chloride (NH4Cl) solution can be used as a source of Ammonia to initiate the growth of nitrifying bacteria without the presence of animal life. Fish should not be present while using Aquaetic Ammonium Chloride.
This Aquaetic Ammonium Chloride Solution bottle is a reagent grade Ammonium Chloride made for the sole purpose of fishless cycling. No need to do the “Damsel” method/dead matter, like frozen shrimp or fish food, in cycling your tank and making the water smell foul.
